I'D LIKE MY DIVORCE WITH THE LAWYERS
ON THE SIDE PLEASE
...an alternative to traditional litigation.
TORONTO, March 27, 2007 - Four professionals working in different fields have come together to inform those thinking about divorce that there is another alternative to traditional litigation in the divorce process.
Divorce Talk is a Divorce Information Forum developed by Certified Divorce Financial Anaylist - Eva Sachs of Women in Divorce Financial, Family Therapist - Sandy Saczkowski of Meka Solutions, and Family Mediator - Alyson McNiece of the Mediation Shop. Moderated by Chartered Accountant - Marilyn Cade, Divorce Talk provides information for people who are contemplating divorce and who are looking for a less stressful and more dignified approach to the divorce process.
Almost 1 in every 2 marriages ends in divorce today. On average, traditional divorces can take 1-3 years and cost each party $30,000. The traditional approach to divorce is based on a litigation model which tends to exacerbate antagonism and conflict by pitting one party against the other. People going through divorce under the traditional model report feeling confused, out of control and victimized.
Sandy, Alyson and Eva have come together to offer people considering divorce a process which offers support, control and which strives to minimize conflict and frustration. Our process shows people how to move forward with their lives while considerably reducing the time, money and emotional expense involved in the divorce process. As a result, people who choose this approach often report having higher rates of success and satisfaction with a settlement agreement that works for them both now and in the future. This team approach is truly "an idea whose time has come".
These forums are kept small in size in order to provide a safe and comfortable venue to learn more about the divorce process, to have the opportunity to engage in conversation and to sort through the confusion that is often part of the divorce process.
Anyone thinking about divorce and wanting to learn how to take control of their own future won't want to miss Divorce Talk. For additional information or to schedule interviews, please feel free to contact any one of our panel members:
